Question Six Evaluation

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I think the main thing that we have learnt and possibly struggled with in our filming process would be the editing and getting our clips to the right speed and length by either shortening them or speeding them up or slowing them down. We also learnt how to work Sony cameras to record our film, but we had to do a re-shoot of our filming process due to the fact that the lighting was bad on our first attempt, so we also learnt how to use brighter lighting but then also how to edit the lighting to be darker on Imovie on the Macbooks. For the sound in our opening titles we use non-diagetic music, but we also included some diagetic sounds of our male characters speaking. We also had to silence one of our clips because we included swearing and we thought it'd be more effective if we had it silenced but it still managed to show the characters rage. The main transitions that we used within our editing process are fade out clips, the most effective time that we did this was at the end of our opening titles, where it has the actual title of our film. Because our film is called His Lady In Red, we had most of the font in black other than for the word Red. We then had the background of the Title to fade to black but left the word Red there to emphasize it.
